EdLoop Privacy Policy

For the app EdLoop JEE (Android, package in.edloop.jee). Last updated 8 October 2026.

In short. You sign in with Google. We keep your name, email address and practice history on our servers so your progress follows you to a new phone. We do not show ads, we do not sell or share your data, and you can delete your account and everything in it from inside the app.

Who we are

EdLoop is run by Ashok Kumar Kunchala, an individual developer in India. Contact: ashokkumar.kunchala@edloop.in.

What we collect

Data Examples Why
Account details from Google Your name, email address and a Google account identifier To create your account and sign you in
Practice activity Questions you answered and how, time taken, timed tests and scores, bookmarks, notes To show your progress and restore it on another phone
Settings Selected exam, target year, daily goal, optional streak, your own exam date So the app looks the same after you sign in again
Daily use counts How many new questions, answer keys and solutions your account opened each day To apply fair-use daily limits and stop automated copying of the question bank
Error reports you send The question, the kind of error, and any text you type To correct the question bank

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, files, phone number or advertising identifier. We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software.

How it is stored

  • Your data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, which processes it on our behalf in its data centre in Mumbai, India.
  • Data is encrypted while it travels between the app and the server.
  • Each account can read and change only its own data.
  • A copy is kept on your phone so the app stays fast and an answer is never lost when the connection drops; it is uploaded when the connection returns. Questions you have not opened for a while are removed from the phone and downloaded again when needed.

How it is used and shared

  • Used only to run the app for you and to improve the accuracy of the question bank.
  • We may compute combined statistics across all students, such as how many answered a question correctly. These never identify a student.
  • Question text delivered to your account carries an invisible mark linked to the account, so that copies of the question bank published elsewhere can be traced.
  • We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties, other than the providers that run the service for us (Google for sign-in, Supabase for storage).
  • We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Your choices

  • Delete your account: Settings → Delete account. This removes your account and all of the data above from our servers and from your phone. It cannot be undone.
  • Clear your progress only: Settings → Clear progress.
  • Sign out: Settings → Sign out. Your data stays in your account.
  • If you cannot use the app, follow the steps on the account deletion page or write to the address above from the email address of your account, and we will delete it within 7 days.

Children

EdLoop is meant for students preparing for engineering entrance examinations, typically 16 and older. It is not directed at children under 13. Students under 18 should use it with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. If paid features or advertising are ever added, this policy will be updated before they are released.
